Hey Everyone,

I trust all are healthy and well. Hopefully “Cabin Fever” is the only ailment you are suffering from.
I have several items to cover in this newsletter/update, It is attached at the bottom and I hope you get something from the articles. Topics covered in this update are:
1. NEED YOUR HELP TO SPREAD THE WORD!!! Please pass this information along and have family, friends, neighbors, etc. you know could use this information, contact me so I can add them to my email contact list. More information in the update.
2. Pasture Pork Online Workshop: If you ever thought about raising a pig for your own use or a few pigs to try and make a few extra dollars, make plans to watch an introduction to pastured pork. This webinar can be viewed from the comforts of your own home and provide you with the basics of raising pigs on pasture.
3. USDA announced the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) to support farmers and ranchers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a USDA program and they will announce the details soon. I have no information as of now for how or when it will be distributed. Not sure which USDA agency will oversee the program or how it will be dispersed. I also listed a few other potential assistance sites.
4. Maintain your health: With the Stay at Home order, it can get easy to slow down, not be as active and maybe even snack a little more. Read a few hints to help you stay healthier and avoid gaining a few extra pounds during this unusual time.
5. Asian Longhorn Tick: Yes we have another nasty tick to deal with. This one can cause several issues and control methods need to be addressed. You can watch a webinar with a description of the tick and lots of information to help you in your efforts to control it.
6. Marketing Assistance for Local Foods:  This is a program to try and help people find local food and local producers try to direct market farm-raised eggs, meat, and other ag products.
