USDA is currently accepting applications for the Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program for 2023 enrollment. This signup period enables producers to get coverage through this important safety-net program for another year as well as get additional assistance through the Supplemental DMC. DMC offers a base-level risk management option for dairy producers.  As you may know, DMC payments were not predicted for 2022, but payments have been triggered for August and September.

The DMC decision tool has been enhanced and was developed in partnership with representatives from the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin to help producers determine the level of coverage under a variety of conditions that will provide them with the strongest financial safety net.

Go to your local FSA office to enroll before December 9, 2022.
