Integrating Precision Technologies for Improving Management and Health of Dairy Cattle

The sustainability and resilience of animal production systems depend upon maintaining animal health and productivity. Precision technologies are rapidly becoming available in livestock operations, creating major opportunities for transforming animal management. In his presentation, Dr. Julio Giordano will cover the latest research and practical concepts on the value of technology in herd health monitoring and management of cows during the transition from late gestation into early lactation. Special emphasis will be placed on our understanding of cow biology through precision technology data and the practical and herd performance implications of integrating automated monitoring systems in herd management.
