In her 24 years, she was an avid supporter of youth and especially dairy youth activities. Kim was an active, outstanding member of 4-H herself at the local, state, regional, and national levels. She was an active participant (and later helped plan) the first SE Dairy Youth Retreats and many other dairy youth activities, still supported by the NC Dairy Youth Foundation.
