There are just two weeks until the General Permit Renewal Application Deadline. Permittees need to submit applications by April 3. Email submission is preferred via:  Animal.Operations@deq.nc.gov

If you have not received a renewal application, please contact NC DEQ as soon as possible. NC DEQ Central Office or Regional Staff can get that information to you.

The following FAQs have been asked:

  • If I don’t have hogs/cows/etc.… right now, do I still need to apply? YES!
  • I am in the buyout program, do I still need to apply? YES!
  • I am closing my lagoons, do I still need to apply? YES!!! Unless you complete the closure and send in the closure form before April 3, then yes you still need to apply for renewal.
  • I just got a new COC last week because of a change, do I still need to submit a renewal? YES and send it in based on the newest COC.
  • What if I can’t find my information in Laserfiche? Contact one of us in the Central Office at Office: (919) 707-3664. We can help.
  • What if I am missing one of the required items? Send in what you have before the deadline and follow-up with the remaining item(s) as soon as possible – just be sure to put the Permit Number on each document you send in.
