There is just ONE WEEK left to apply for either the Dairy Business Planning Grant or the Specialty Processing Equipment Grant. Applications are due next Wednesday September 25 at 5 p.m./ET. Click the links below for all the information you need to apply, including a recorded grant information session.

The Specialty Processing Equipment Grant provides reimbursement funds to undertake projects that result in increased efficiency, capacity, or new processing capabilities in an existing or proposed dairy processing facility.

The Dairy Business Planning Grant provides reimbursement funds to permitted dairy businesses (farms and processors) that are seeking the help of experts to plan for the future.

KCARD Value-Added Dairy Business Evaluation Open for Established Dairy Businesses in TN, KY, NC 

We would also like to let you know about an excellent opportunity available for value-added dairy businesses in Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. The Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (KCARD) and the University of Tennessee Extension’s Center for Profitable Agriculture have teamed up to provide established (in business for at least 3-years) value-added dairy businesses with an in-depth analysis of their operation. This analysis consists of a comprehensive on-site evaluation by experienced and trained business consultants.

Thanks to support from the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service and the Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiative program (SDBII) this service is AVAILABLE FOR FREE to accepted applicants.
